Varney the Vampire, or, the Feast of Blood is a sprawling, ridiculously extended saga of a smelly, Rasputin-like vampire named Sir Frances Varney. Varney as a yarn is a moody dusk blue with highlights of lava and moonlight violet.
Carmilla as yarn is an eerie midnight castle of a color. Deep violet hues layered over stone gray with mossy bits were inspired by the dreadful schloss, or castle, in Styria where the story takes place. Ruins and nightmares are common in the book, and echoed in this moody dark colorway.
The August 27 update includes two domestic bases, the debut of The Secret Histories Collection inspired by libraries and dark academia, and a preorder window for any base/color!
"The House of the Seven Gables" is a subtly haunting tale laced with witchcraft, guilt, and just enough supernatural horror and "this house is scary" notes to fit in perfectly with the Ghastly theme of gothic horror.
Vol. 4 of the Ghastly yarn club, inspired by “The Fall of the House of Usher” by Edgar Allan Poe, is night terrors and decay and a bit of dark opulence.
