Readers of Mary Shelley's 1818 novel Frankenstein are no stranger to the notorious creature, or "the wretch." The creature finds peace among nature and slowness after being created and cursed by Dr. Victor Frankenstein in the pursuit of extractive and exploitative scientific progress. This densely-speckled color works up with just a hint of color repeat, in pastoral greens and melodramatic shadows of gloom.
Base: Brontë (Yak/Silk DK) 60% Superwash Merino Wool / 20% Silk / 20% Yak; 231 yards / 100 grams
Price listed is per one (1) skein of yarn.
All indie-dyed yarn works up differently depending on gauge, project size, and needle/hook size. Swatches are shown in yak/silk DK base, from a previous dye batch, to give an average idea of the colorway.
Alternate skeins for large projects and hand wash in cool water for best results.
