Stargazing in prep for The Rose City Yarn Crawl!
I don't know about you but the one thing that pulls me through the longest winter nights is the promise of my favorite spring event, the Rose City Yarn Crawl in Portland, OR. My dearest PDX friends taught me to knit a little over a decade ago just before my first RCYC, and I just haven't been able to stay away ever since!
I'm over the moon to return to a starry-eyed day at Weird Sisters / Two Rivers (books!! yarn!! witchery!! all nestled just near the otherworldly St. Johns Bridge). Mentally head into orbit with me while immersing yourself in this year's stellar theme, Our Skies Full of Stars.
We've been dreaming up some celestial book-inspired yarn sets just for you inspired by Light From Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki, The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers, and Orbital by Samantha Harvy! I've been drowning in space stories for months while coming up with the perfect galaxy-inspired colors to match.
I can't pick a favorite - book or yarn - but hope these intergalactic colors will help you mentally escape to an alternate universe while you stitch!
