Handmade Arcade Holiday Market Preview: The Buried Moon!

A blue moon or so ago, you might remember an unearthly color inspired by the Blue Supermoon. Dyed up for former LYS Yarns By Design, this color celebrated a rare celestial event and I just couldn't dye it fast enough for your eager hands!

When I found out the December 2025 Cold Moon will also be a supermoon, you know I was digging up that recipe spreadsheet and a story to pair it with.  And just like the light appearing from the deepest darkest bog, this one is back (but only for Handmade Arcade's Holiday Market!!)

One of my favorite little fairy tales about the moon is The Buried Moon (or, The Dead Moon). I can't guarantee that a coffin, a candle, and a cross were not part of the dye process for The Buried Moon exclusive color, but you can read the tale online for free if your winter needs a little more magic this year.
