This is a preorder listing. Your yarn will ship the week of December 12.
In 1816, Romantic super squad Lord Byron, Mary Shelley, Percy Shelley, and John Polidori were holed up in Geneva due to bad weather inflicted by a volcano eruption, and decided to write horror stories to pass time.
While the most famous result of this strange vacation was Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, John Polidori’s tale The Vampyre (published 1819) was massively influential in vampire literature and tropes ever since. A short and sweet tale, The Vampyre is perfect for a stormy winter night (and even more perfect as a dramatic yarn colorway!)
Base: Ursula (Yak Sock) 70% Superwash Merino; 20% Yak; 10% Nylon. 437 yd/100g per skein.
Undead is a book and yarn club that explores three classic works of vampire fiction through creepy yarn colorways. Title choice and mood images provide a hint at the motivations behind the colorway, and preorders are open for a week. Over the next month you can read along with the title while your mystery yarn is dyed. Undead is yarn only due to some exciting studio changes happening this fall.
Undead colorways will be exclusive to the club; if colorways are repeated it won't be until 2023.
Use code PGHPICKUP at checkout if you'd like to save on shipping and pick up in Greenfield (Pittsburgh) and I'll follow up with instructions when yarn is ready!
Spaces are not limited, but sign ups close November 20 to allow for production time. The Vampyre yarn will ship (or be ready to pick up) the week of December 12. Sorry, no orders for The Vampyre accepted after November 20.
