This is a preorder listing. Your yarn will ship the week of September 4.
Carmilla (1872, J. Sheridan Le Fanu) predates Bram Stoker's Dracula, making it one of the first widely-known fictional accounts of vampires. What's even more notable is Le Fanu's positive representation of love between two women, and his challenging of the Victorian female ideal - both not common for the time. The tale is said to have influenced both Dracula and The Turn of the Screw, and the writing is just plain immersive.
Base: Ursula (Yak Sock) 70% Superwash Merino; 20% Yak; 10% Nylon. 437 yd/100g per skein.
Undead is a book and yarn club that explores three classic works of vampire fiction through creepy yarn colorways. Title choice and mood images provide a hint at the motivations behind the colorway, and preorders are open for a week. Over the next month you can read along with the title while your mystery yarn is dyed. Undead is yarn only due to some exciting studio changes happening this fall.
Undead colorways will be exclusive to the club; if colorways are repeated it won't be until 2023.
Spaces were not limited, but sign ups closed July 29 to allow for production time. Carmilla yarn will ship (or be ready to pick up in Greenfield, Pittsburgh) the week of September 4. Sorry, no orders for Carmilla accepted after July 29.
