“Resourceful and opportunistic,” grackles are quite handsome with an iridescent aqua and sapphire head and bits of raisin in their feather wings. Nonetheless, a group of them is called a plague. (Though I can’t think of any bookish connection, I like to think they’d be into Scandinavian murder mysteries, maybe.)
Grackle is a colorway that remains exclusive to Anais, a single ply silk/merino blend that perfectly mimics the plumage of these unashamed scavenger birds.
Base: Anaïs (Single ply, fingering); 30% Silk/70% Superwash Merino; 438 yds / 100 grams
Price listed is per one (1) skein of yarn.
All indie-dyed yarn works up differently depending on gauge, project size, and needle/hook size. Swatches are shown in silk merino singles and sock base, from a previous dye batch, to give an average idea of the colorway only. Swatch does not perfectly depict the batch available for purchase and may vary in texture from the yarn base available.
